Suprize suprize, google has a little mobile portal that list its mobile products!

google.com/m/products

There’s:

Google mobile Search

- Look for your country specific portal here:

Google Mobile Countries

- I like to use the m.gmail.com page when checking my email quickly on a computer without having to load the full javascript interface of gmail.

I heard that Google’s UK/London offices do mobile development work for Google mostly.
Because “Europe is ahead of the US by light years when it comes to wireless technology.” — Nikesh Arora, VP of European operations
also said mobile engineering will play a key part in the London labs’ future, as will developing localised products. [1]
So, if UK is ahead of US, and SA (South Africa) is ahead of UK [2], then that makes South Africa way ahead of the USA.

- Check out this page for more Mobile Google stuff: list-of-all-google-mobile-products-including-blackberry-and-sms

The real best mobile portal…

Actually, wap.defza.com is the ultimate mobile phone portal

Features available

Unfortunately the LG KG800 isn’t capable of supporting the “Photo Capture”, “Moola topup”, “File access”, and “SMS out” features. This is because the phone doesn’t support the necessary Java APIs to make these features available in MXit.

The version of MXit which is currently available for the LG KG800 offers as many MXit features as possible for the phone.

On some Nokia‘s you might have a problem using some Java apps – specifically with their internet connection.

If you are, you can always try this fix which is used for the MXit app for your phone:

Some of these Nokia models require additional settings
Do the following:
1. Select menu
2. Select Settings
3. Select Configuration
4. Select Personal Configuration Settings
5. Select Add or Add New
6. Select Access point
Account name call it MXit APN
7. Go back to Personal configuration settings
8. Select the new Access Point called MXit APN
9. Set as Preferred Access Point and activate in all applications
10. Go back to Personal configuration settings
11. Select the new Access Point called MXit APN
12. Select Access point settings
13. Select Bearer settings
14. Enter User name: mxit
15. Enter Password: mxit
16. Verify Password: mxit
17. Now start MXit from your Applications – Collections
18. When MXit opens ALLOW Network Access Select YES
19. Web Settings should now show MXit APN (The one you just created)
When you downloaded MXit, do not run it immediately (if prompted).
Exit (close) the WAP session you opened to download, or reboot the phone.
It is similar to installing a new application on a PC, you need to reboot.
