MXit V5.1.0 has been released
New release (5.1.0) of the MXit client has been made. Here is a list of the changes:
1. File Transfer progress indicator
This shows a progress indicator to give feedback to the user on how long a file transfer operation should take to complete.
Please note:
The following phone categories will NOT support this feature

A: Nokia Series 30 (e.g. 3510i)
B: Siemens 55 (e.g. S55)
C: Nokia Series 40 Ed 1.0 (e.g. 6610)

E: Nokia S60 Ed 1 (e.g. Nokia 3650)
G: Samsung MIDP 1.0 – 128×110 (e.g. Samsung X100)
M: Samsung MIDP 2.0 – 128×160 (e.g. Samsung E600)
P: Generic MIDP 2.0, not fullscreen – 128×144 (e.g. LG F2400)
2. Mute Sound
Alllows sound to be toggled easily. This can be done via the menu system, or using a hot key.

3. User Mood
Allow a user to show his mood to all his online contacts.
The following moods will be available:
- none (set to clear current mood)
- happy
- sad
- excited
- invincible
- hot
- angry
- grumpy
- sick
- in_love
- sleepy

All phones will have the ability to see the mood of a contact change though since it is reported in the conversation screen (e.g. alias is now happy).
4. Shortcut keys
Some shortcut keys have been added so that certain operations can be perfomed faster
- # + # – toggle sound
- # + 1 – toggle show offline contacts
- # + 2 – jump to presence screen (back returns to previous screen)

The following changes have also been made:
- Autoaway is set to true (on) by default.
- Emoticons can now be selected using the stylus on phone’s that use a stylus (stick thing).
A number of bugs have also been fixed:
- Motorola V300: Adding more than one contact causes application error.
- Nokia N-Gage: Alert tones stop working.
- Incorrect heading shown in Menu->Contacts screen when entering for the first time.
- Text with tabs not formatted correctly (a tab is now replaced with a single space).
- Disappearing group heading when ‘Hide offline contacts’ is enabled.
- Nokia Series 40 Ed 3: Menu scroll bar not positioned correctly, which caused the bottom part of the text to be cut off in the contacts screen.
